The Griffin has good shield, moderate shield regen, decent mobility and great mass, but its energy regen is quite low.

It's really good for players that want tanky ships without being outrun by most ships. Like heavies, it's good for mining and defending, but it also has nice offensive power in close range combat and good ramming ability.
