Trident is a Tier 2 ship in Starblast.io. It fires two parallel side lasers from the front. This ship is very efficient with its energy. The energy supply it has lasts for a long time with no upgrades. It fires 2 shots from the sides about 2 times per second. When it runs out of energy, it fires alternatively from the sides. This ship, unlike the Delta-Fighter, does not weaken with range.

Being a Tier 2 ship, it is not strong by itself and best used for mining and upgrading quickly. It is not recommended to upgrade it unless made necessary by an enemy confrontation, in which case, Ship Speed should be upgraded. It is not recommended to fight other player vessels as a Trident, when confronted, it is best to flee.

Compared to the Delta-Fighter, this ship is generally slower, but has higher shields. However, because of its alternating shots upon running out of energy, it is not necessary to upgrade it at all before proceeding to the next tier.

The Trident is likely inspired from the Klingon Bird-Of-Prey in the Star Trek Universe, due to its resemblance.
